Coaching FAQs

The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”  I believe coaching is the key to actively creating a life that is customized for you!

The first session is called a “discovery session” and typically lasts 90 minutes.  This session is used to get a clear view of the vision for your ideal and best life. This includes every aspect of your life – how you want to feel mentally/physically, work/life goals, relationships, etc.

Sessions that occur after that point will focus on turning your vision into a strategy so you’ll know what to do. It makes it 100% easier to bring your vision to fruition if the steps are laid out in front of you. It also makes it easier to pivot if needed.

Throughout our sessions together – we will work to remove any limiting thoughts or programming that may get in the way of your vision. We will also focus on where to build your skills as well as removing any areas of your life that are draining your energy.

Each person has a unique vision for how they want their life to look.  Because of this – it’s not possible to give an exact number for how many sessions you’ll need without a deeper dive into a coaching relationship.

Coaching sessions can be held in person or via Zoom.  Schedule, cost and convenience may dictate a client’s choice.  Certain coaching packages offered also include unlimited email access and/or inspirational phone calls.

Clients may choose to meet at my office, their office or another designated area.

Many individuals feel they can’t afford a personal or professional coach but coaching is not as expensive as you might think. In fact, after my clients see the significant impact that coaching has on their life or career, they often question why they hadn’t made the decision earlier! So before asking for pricing details – you may want to ask yourself – “What isn’t working in your life right now?”  or “Are you living the life you always wanted?”

The investment you make into coaching depends on your individual needs.  Typically, coaching relationships last for 3 months or more.  This allows time to implement positive, long lasting change that will positively impact your life.

Coaching looks toward the future and therapy tends to focus on the past. Typically, people seek coaching as a method for creating a new future. Coaching is about a client starting from where they are and receiving support as they do the work necessary for transformation.
